SSI evaluates mine safety and health systems within an organization to determine the effectiveness of the systems management. In general, SSI’s reviews are focused on an organization’s own system or can follow OHSAS 18001 framework. In addition, SSI often assesses specific components of an organization’s OH&S system. Chief among those are compliance and risk management assessments.
