About JAMES A. HUDSON, MS, SPHR
Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Indiana University and Masters of Science in Industrial Safety Management from West Virginia University, Jim Hudson joined Consolidation Coal Company (Consol Energy) where he spent the next several years engaged in federally mandated safety training and Industrial and Employee Relations activities at both underground and surface mines. In addition to earning the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (SPHR), Hudson is a MSHA certified Underground and Surface Mine Safety Training Instructor and Bureau of Workers Compensation Drug Free Workplace Trainer
Hudson’s 25-year Safety, Training, Management and Labor Relations career has spanned other industries such as manufacturing, automotive industry, transportation, wholesale food distribution and consulting. He has developed and implemented process improvements and cost reduction initiatives in all assigned locations. His Management, Safety and Labor Relations training presentations for Ohio University and Miami University (Ohio) have received high praise from those institutions.
